Why don't I ever post in this? [20 Nov 2007|09:28pm]
[ mood | tired ]

Oh, hi!

I woke up early (relatively) this morning and then drove out to shattuck where I spent our last five dollars on parking, paper (making a Birthday Card), and a cappuccino (double tall nonfat extra foamy with two sweet and lows).

Then I came home and wasn't even productive.

I did get part of the birthday card made though.

And I did laundry.

Life update:

+Bought a lexus
+Had a halloween party, I was Frank N Furter, Husband was Dr. Mcninja
+Massive sewing work on costumes for a film in progress and also corset and arm pieces for Dr. Frank N Furter costume (mad skills)
+Bought our Christmas tree
+Revealed my inner artist at work and was awarded all of the Christmas drawing/decorations (I got to go in and do the Christmas chalk boards)
+Met Seth Green at comic con (forgot to mention that)
+Will be going to see the Aquabats in a week

Um.

There's a lot more but my brain is fried. I need to go to bed. <3 you everyone!

Aaaawesooome!

So on myspace, I have become friends with a few of my close friends from Jr High. And today I saw them for the first time since Jr High ended... Which was sooo awesome!

So we got to talking about Jr. High obviously, and I mentioned that I have a lot of photos they haven't seen yet, and furthermore, I have all my notes and some other memoriables. Then we realized that even though we have all scattered all over California over the last year, we're all going to be in the same city as our Jr High school in the same weekend (unbelievable, right?) so we're going to have a little reunion...

The School we went to in Jr HIgh was a charter school, so we got 15 and 30 minute recesses every day. During these recesses we would hang out under a tree that we had claimed as our own and eventually we had carved our initials in the tree. We have so many memories (and pictures thereof) under the tree, and a general sense of attatchment to it, thus, we have decided to have our little "reunion" under that tree.

So Far, this reunion will consist of the two girls I saw today, one girl that they have kept contact with over the years, my best friend, possibly a friend of ours that moved to Chico in the middle of the 8th grade, and hopefully also the boys we hung out with (if we can find them). We're basically going to try to round everyone up... wish us luck! This is so exciting, we're bringing our yearbooks, and our pictures, our notes, and we might even have a... uhm... BSB movie marathon afterwards, seeing as how we were HUGE fans back when. hahahaha. I can't wait!

1. I love buying toothpaste.

3. I love friends.

4. I love sleep and I do not get any.

A good friend that I trust came over tonight and I told her about the book I am currently reading and found out that she has read it too and did not like it. Now I worry that I will also not like it. NOT COOL, BOOK. I don't really want to read it now but seeing as how I cannot find Viva Auder's Biography anywhere (like seriously, wtf) I might have to. Whatevs.

Whatevs.

Where is my husband? I'm cold and lonely. Actually its really hot in here.

And nippulars. All of them. Co-op people that I used to live with and that I love. I miss you. Two of you, I will call you B AND N. Where are you? Can I come see you?

I met someone awesome today! [04 Sep 2007|02:15pm]

[ music | Lifetime Movies on TV ]

I was just about to eat some sleeping pills and go to bed (I have been having trouble sleeping lately) but I wanted to talk about someone before I ruin my brain for the rest of the night (and tomorrow morning) with benedryl.

Anyway. So between the last few days I haven't gotten much sleep. I'm talking maybe 8 hours between the last three days (8 total, not 8 a night). This prompted me to nap on the bus (a half hour ride) this morning and then attempt to nap on the way back this afternoon.

I couldn't sleep on the bart because there were too many people on it, but I did have my hood up (it makes me feel less weird if I have to close my eyes) and at some point someone sat next to me. I was just going to try to sleep anyway and keep my hood up, but something compelled me to remove the hood and I did. A few minutes later this man who had sat next to me asked me a question about the stops on the bus and I answered his question, and we talked a little about public transportation, owning a car, thinking about owning a vespa (which I refuse to do in case of rain) and then I told him that I enjoyed public transportation because it has given me time to read in the morning and afternoon. In the last two weeks I have read three books (I finished slaughterhouse 5 today, by the way, which is why I was attempting to sleep on the bus... I thouroughly enjoyed it (the book)!). He noted the book in my bag (my see through bag, which is a different bag than the one i posted last time, by the way, this one much cooler and bigger and tote-bagish). I told him that in fact, I had just finished my current book and I was on my way to pick up another one, an autobiography by Brigid Berlin, when he proceeded to tell me about a documentary about Jackie Kennedy's sister and her crazy life, and he also mentioned Edie Sedgwick, and the tumultuous lives of rich, crazy drugged up socialites in the sixties. This prompted me to tell him about the last book I had read, called Tramps Like Us by Joe Westermoreland, which had that spirit, but with a gay man (and gay men) in the late seventies to early eighties, and I described the spirit of the book to him, and he found it intriguing. I wrote down the name of the documentary he told me about and he wrote down the name of the book and we talked for a bit while he told me a little bit about some things going on between him and his boyfriend and gay liberation in the seventies and after the aids scare had subsided... it was really a great conversation, and then he had to get off the bus.

I love meeting interesting people who talk about interesting things. I really hope I run into this guy again. I'll offer to buy him a coffee. He seemed really nice and I hope wherever he is now he is living good times.

Also, I've made up some new slang at my work to describe certain drinks and customers go crazy for them. When I have a few more, I'll post about them here.

Tomorrow is laundry and go buy that biography day (half price books didn't have it). Today is sleep and special lifetime movie marathon day. Wish me luck, folks.

I've been looking for a coat rack for a while. I'm going to hope its still there on friday.

Also, my iron actually works. I was SO HAPPY to find it so cheap, because we're broke literally until thursday. The irons at goodwill were $5.99 and $1.50 at the Salvation Army. Today is a good day for thrifting.

Also, there is a place where my work pays for my food. Its a sort of food court. They have gross salads, pizza, burgers and fruit salads. When I take my lunch at noon all the fruit salads are sold out (my work and the cafeteria open at 4:00am. So when I took my ten minute break at 9 I went to the food court and bought a fruit salad to eat for lunch. I also bought my yogurt-milk drink, which is like a fruit smoothie, but it tastes like a yogurt shaken up with milk. Its really good. That lunch actually filled me up. I had a good lunch!

I can feel it in my throat. I'm not happy about this.

I'm working full time and getting paid very well, I'm even getting a little bit of over time. I love my job so much!

Water and Vitamin C chewables are soooo good!

And the beau and I had salmon for dinner. Mmmmm!

I need to go to bed now. I wake up at 3:30am every morning to be at work at 6am. Public transit is a bitch, but we're getting a car in half of a month... I am SO excited! Riding teh busses every day gives me a chance to catch up on reading though so wheee! This afternoon I picked up book number 2. Next book will be slaughterhouse 5. The beau and I saw it today in the bookstore after I picked up book number 2 and I remembered that I always wanted to read that but I haven't.

Whee for catching up on high school reading!

Sitting in front of Boredom [11 Aug 2007|04:35pm]
[ mood | bored ]
[ music | Bodies of Evidence on TV ]

Ugh!

So I start working on Tuesday or whatever. We're broke thanks to comic con.

Soooo... I'm stuck in the apartment all day(week) lest I be tempted to spend ANY money. Anyway, I've been trying to distract myself by cleaning and cooking nonstop. I'm looking forward to a dinner consisting of limes... mmmm.

I finally finished going through my comic con loot BTW. Figured out what was for scrapbooking, what was for garbage, and what was for random art projects. Got some Skeletor temporary tattoos while at comic con and I'll be checking out Ebay for more. I wish I could be frivolous with tattoos because then I would GET a skeletor tattoo. He fucks he-man up apparently... I was under five years old when I watched that show and thus I do not remember it. I had the toys though.

Oh. TV sucks by the way. I've been sitting here all week and the only show I can bring myself to watch is King of the Hill. I guess its because I like to see stupid people and assholes get put in their place and that happens on that show. Also, Mike Judge is a genius. Have you ever seen Idiocracy? I tried to play South Park (N64) yesterday but really, only the multiplayer mode is any fun. I just do not have the patience for that game.

I'm going to break out my sewing machine today. I cleaned the crap out of my and Rob's room today and now I know where all of my art supplies are... I also know where all of my paper is. I guess I'll be stuck at the art(coffee) table making shit all day, sitting in front of the TV AGAIN. I wish there was something worth watching(listening to) on TV. I really hate Sitcoms, reality TV and shitty cartoons. LAAAAAAME!
